The Pre-Court Appearance Driver Training session is designed for individuals who have been summoned to appear in court for a motoring offence and want to demonstrate positive action before their hearing.

Delivered by experienced, qualified assessors, this session helps you reflect on driving behaviour, identify improvements, and show commitment to safer driving.

This course is suitable for:

  • Drivers holding a full UK driving licence
  • Individuals appearing in court for motoring offences such as speeding, careless driving or similar incidents
  • Drivers seeking to demonstrate positive remedial action to magistrates

What’s Included:

  • A 3-hour practical session with a DVSA Fleet accredited assessors
  • Pre-drive discussion about your driving history and circumstances
  • On-road assessment covering various road types and conditions
  • Coaching and feedback to identify areas for improvement
  • A written report, suitable for presentation in court

 

The report details your attitude, driving ability, and improvements made during the session, demonstrating your willingness to take responsibility and improve road safety awareness.

You must provide your own vehicle, which must be:

  • Roadworthy, taxed and insured for training purposes
  • Clean, safe and legally compliant

 

Your assessor will perform a basic vehicle safety check before starting.
